JSF PROGRAM, 65% MORE EXPENSIVE THAN PROJECTED
According to a Pentagon analysis, the JSF program will cost U.S. $ 382 billion, 62% more than projected when starting the program in 2002, which was U.S. $ 232 billion .
The cost per plane (including costs of manufacturing and R & D) is $ 112 million, 81% percent more than the 62 million originally projected.
This increase comes from the redesign costs wings, inefficient production, problems in testing and slow deliveries by subcontractors.
